Default Garage Screen Track Repair

We are relatively new owners of a villa in TV. Somewhere along the line the previous owner damaged/bent the track that the screens ride on. Due to the bending of the track 2 sections of the screens will not slide beyond a certain point. This creates an issue because we would like to have both our car and golf cart in the garage. Any recommendations for a company that can repair the tracks or maybe even install a replacement?

Before replacing it, you might try using a block of wood and a hammer, give it a couple wacks....

Call Greg Goolsby, Screens and Garages, Garage and Screen Door Repair 352-347-9198.

He (they) are local people, probably the nicest guys who ever came to the house, and their prices are excellent. They answer a cell phone and will get to your home that same day.

My girlfriend came back from a summer up north to find her garage door damaged. It was a Sunday. They came out, fixed it and charged her an additional small fee for Sunday.

If you can send a picture, I have a set of wide (about 2 inch) pliers that i used in a previous life to bend and shape metal, this might be a simple fix.

That's what I was thinking also.

Harbor Freight probably sells a cheaper version.

Yes, mine are very similar, tracks are usually aluminum, and should be easy to reshape.

My tracks also were bent, and I used the block of wood and a hammer and it did the trick.
The inside dimension of the tracks are usually 3/4”, so a piece of 1” wood fits inside them very nicely.
