Thumbs down Glacier Water's unreliable service

Monday Glacier water called to make a date for regular service of my water purification system. We agreed to between 2 and 6 p.m. on Tuesday. I got home from golf at 11:45 a.m. and found that the technician had already come and left a receipt, with the correct times listed but clearly ignored, and a note saying that "no one was home." I called the following morning, Wednesday, and was told he would come between 2 and 4 p.m. that same day. He did not show. After golf this morning I called again. At 10:50 a.m. they told me he'd be here in 10 to 20 minutes. It is now 1:10 p.m. and still no technician has come.

If I could I'd demand that they remove my system and refund my full purchase price. They are totally unreliable.

Just to update; After calling and talking with the salesman this morning the service department called and made a fourth appointment. A service technician did come just a few minutes ago (45 minutes early) and did the annual check.

I really like the system. It's a Puronics water purifier, not a salt softener system. The water tasted better almost immediately. It's customer service that was my complaint. Hopefully, properly chastised by the salesman, they will do better in the future.

Glad it finally worked out for you. Do watch the system for leaks. I've seen that occur many times.
