Default Grass Cutting 12 Months?

Rookie question...…

Does the grass continue to grow and need cutting through the winter months? Does the grass growth slow down?

It slows down. Instead of once a week cutting it stretches to 10 days and sometimes 2 weeks. We pay Roy our lawn man of 12 years the same every month, all year. He's never let us down, the grass always looks good. Len

Same here.... we pay our lawn service the same amount each month all year. Much cheaper than paying by the cut.

I cut my own and in the winter the grass goes dormant and I can go over 4 weeks without cutting. Actually when I do cut it in 4 weeks it is almost impossible to see where I'm cutting.

I fertilized late last fall and my St. Augustine grew like crazy all winter! My neighbor’s zoysia stopped growing and turned brown after the first cold snap.

I cut my own and in the winter do so only every 2nd or 3rd week. The grass goes dormant but the weeds keep growing!
