Gutters

I don't know if M&M Gutters is the same firm as Momentum Gutters: "One and Done Solution; however Momentum was supposed to clean/seal/realign front & sides. And did a totally inferior job. Rain water spills over the sides of the cutters. Called twice....no response. TERRIBLE:boom:

M & M Gutters were great and the price was good. 352-307-5972

We have this veranda floor plan, and yes we had to add gutters because in every storm we had waterfalls flowing off the roof in the front entry area, and the backyard near the lanai. Stipes added 6” gutters and all is good now. No regrets.

We added these to the front of the house only because we were getting stains on the driveway, years later we had problems with the front lawn, DUE TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE GUTTERS. If you still decide to get gutters, make sure that the downspouts are located to properly drain away from the house and to the landscaped drainage area.

I totally agree, however, newer homes like mine in Hillsborough were built with gutters along the front for this purpose. They are not necessary. My builder told me that during a walk through, said gutters were a BAD idea because the water hits so hard that it bounces back under the shingles and you get pulling up and mold underneath and may prematurely degrade your roof along the edges. When I recently had attic stairs installed by a gutter company, the owner was after me to let him give me a quote for gutters. When the guys showed up to do the stairs, when I was paying them, I asked about the quote since he didn't say anything. He said, do you really want it, I said no, not interested in gutters, he said good, none of us have them on our house, we basically sell them to Northerners who think they need them. It's easy work. Seriously, if you have a place where the water is digging in, put a flat stone there. I have one spot like that. 10 years in, no issues. Why would I? Gutter are for moving water away from your basement foundation and we don't have basements. Don't waste your money. BTW - if you needed them, they would be in the building code.

Stay Away from Larry’s

Larry’s did ours and we still can’t believe the terrible job that was done. Our down spout was fed by a 2 inch hole in our 6 inch gutters! A second person was required to correct everything.

I had gutters installed on the front only to avoid Niagara Falls over my front doorway and garage. they were installed in 15 minutes by M&M and they drip. my front yard has suffered from the rain water being directed away....

This past April, I had all new 6" seamless gutters installed on my Gardenia model using HILL'S Seamless Gutters from Belleview. Their Ph# 352-245-7462
I felt they were reasonable, and work was done efficiently, as well as clean up.
