Checking to see if anyone from the Villages has purchased a Havanese puppy from either Twin Havanese or Los Perritos Havanese both in Florida. If so, what was your experience...good/bad? Any other info you would like to share? We are looking and it’s overwhelming to sort through all the info

Call both of them. If they’re good breeders and not just puppy mills, you’ll get some clues on the phone. Good breeders will happily give lineage of pups, answer any and all questions and, most importantly, make sure you’re qualified to own one of their pups. A better alternative is go to some dog shows and talk to the breeders. The AKC will have a list of local shows.

We have had our "havana" for close to 10 years...well before they became so popular. We got her locallly (_but not from a breeder you listed+) and were fortunate enough to see the parents who lived in the home along with all the puppies from the litter. In fact the puppy we expected to buy ,the breeder would not sell her for she was sick (runs) the day we were planning to visit

I would not buy a puppy sight unseen....you really cannot see their personality or how they interact with people. Are they Yapers or biters...you just dont know. The "right" havanese will be a pleasant addition tio your family for many years to came so dont rush into something you are not certain with.
