Yikes, I hope not...I purchased the 10 year extended warranty through them (it is a manufacturer's warranty) and switched to them from the group that installed my unit. My experience with them so far has been very positive. They have a ton of service trucks and seem to be everywhere. I hope this is just a rumor.

I think they are simply downsizing and not going out of business. As The Villages has slowed, so have many of their major subcontractors.

I hope you get good service with your warranty. We had air conditioning problems and although we didn't have the warranty, I called them because of their 24/7 advertisement in the yellow pages. Although they found that they had installed our heating and air conditioning 3 years earlier, they weren't wouldn't come out to repair it for three days!
I wish I could remember who we got, but they responded in 4 hours and fixed the problem. I have nothing good to say about Munns. Other builders have told me to go with Lennox if you have a choice. Having them in my other home, I can vouch for their quality. Trane isn't bad, but it isn't the best.

If you purchased a TRANE extended warranty. You can transfer your extended warranty to another TRANE dealer in good standing.

They are not going out of business. Last Sunday we called and left them a message about our AC being out. They promptly returned our call on Monday am and had our appt. the next day. The part was still under warranty. Very good service imo. Their business has slowed due to the housing construction slowing as well.
