I have a free standing hot tub. I used Tri county Pool and spa for a new circulating pump. Fair price

Heaters usually aren’t that hard to replace, I’ve replace them on two hot tubs I had in the pass. Saved about 3/4 cost of having it done.

I tend to agree with above, our hot tub has isolation valves for all the pumps and the heater. You, of course need to open the disconnect switch before doing anything. Then with any luck you will find a you-tube video of the heater replacement. However, you may want to make sure it is actually the heater that has failed. Ours has a dedicated fuse for the heater, and a relay that controls the heater, if either if these fails, no heat. A neighbor just had the computerized controls on their hot tub fail, and one of the items that did not work was the heater function, so IMHO, if you have the expertise, you may want to do some investigation before replacing the heater unit.
Hope this helps.

thx for the replies... I did change the heater and also a pump about 7 yrs. ago the hot tub is 17 yrs.old... I just thought if I could get a reasonable price I'd have them do it... however avg. cost is about $200.. WOW... If I remember correctly it's about 1/2 labor and that was not knowing what I was doing..lol

everyone wants a $100 charge just to show up and troubleshoot even after I told them I don't want you to troubleshoot Just install the new heater.. and then another $100 for installation... I guess they must be real busy and don't need the work

You’ll be very luck to get off for 200 bucks, more like 575.
