Default INTERIOR DECORATOR SERVICE

My wife and I are considering some redecorating. We are interested in floor covering, paint color, furnature placement, and accessories, but not a decorator that just wants to sell us lots of new furnature. Has anyone out there hired a decorator that they were very pleased with and could provide us with a name and phone number??
Thanks --- Bill

I just finished working with Ruth Dyer of The Finishing Touch (352-804-2056). She writes a weekly column in the Daily Sun. As with any decorator, you listen, take their suggestions and decide if it works for you. It is not a fast process unless you are quick at making up your mind about color etc. I have been working with her since May and the projects are coming to an end. I will add other things and consult her from time to time, but the major jobs (painting, decorating etc.) are over. She will work with you at your pace. If you want something done quickly, she can do that without breaking your budget. If you know what "style" you want to create in advance, that helps; otherwise she will talk it over with you to find out what direction you want to go in.

I would enthusiastically recommend Virginia Pascarella at Veranda on Main in Wildwood - 748-1020.

I would recommend Joy Dudis she does offer some decorating courses through the Lifelong Learning College. But I took her course and for $50 per hour she does come to your house and give you some great suggestions. She was not here more than an hour and we took about 75% of her suggestions which really made a big difference in the paint colors we chose and also our furniture arrangement.

I'd call that cute girl evil6 from the paper that abracadabra recommended. Have no idea how good she is as a decorator, but she is really cute. :hot: Okay, I'm a bit of a pig. Actually I do read her column occasionally and enjoy it. She shows a real sense of imagination that would be needed here since our homes are all so similar.
