Not sure about relocate, but adjust, replace heads, replace donuts, and other repairs, I have always used Don the Donut man and have been very satisfied. His number is 352-205-2393.

Jim Baumgartner is awesome. He really knows his stuff and is highly respected all around TV. If you do a search for his name, you should be able to find his number. Otherwise, I'll post it later. Sorry, out of time right now.

I have a contract with Massey to do irrigation maintenance. They also recently relocated one my sprinkler heads, changed out one sprinkler head and straightened/elevated a couple of heads for me.

I have also dealt with Don the Donut man in the past. I found his pricing to be very reasonable and he was very meticulous in his work.

We also like Niels have ours with Massey. Come once a quarter, clean adjust heads, swap out bad ones, even reset timer for that period of the year following TV water guidelines. To us it is well worth it.

I had Jim Baumgartner go over my irrigation system just 2 weeks ago. Did a very good job and very reasonable. You can reach him at cell (352-504-2317) or email him at "hollyb1956@embarqmail.com) He said he usually schedules 4 jobs a day and that gives him time to do whatever work is required at each stop.

Our wonderful grasscutter Earl cleans out the donuts. He installed them for a fee and he knows all about readjusting the system. And for a very low fee monthly to cut grass weed and trim. Earl and his brothers rock!!

Now I am going to have to find his telephone number.

We've been having problems with our sprinkler system all spring and summer. Which is especially annoying since we're in Canada and our sprinklers are in TV.

Before we left TV, we tried to set the system to come on once a week. We thought we had it mastered. (We previously owned a CYV for two years and had no problem at all setting the sprinkler system). However we were advised by Village Watchdogs, our housewatch company, that the system was coming on several times a week.

So we had a "specialist" come in to examine it and reset it to one day a week. Recently our neighbour called us to say that the system no longer comes on several days a week, it now comes on three times on Tuesdays!

I think there must be a flaw in the "master controller box", the whattiz box, or whatever it is called. If we're going to call in a specialist, we should have the direction and flow of all the sprinkler heads checked.

I'm just wondering the best person to call for a total "makeover" of the system.

Why not do the work yourself. It is nothing more than cutting PVC pipe with a cutter and relocating the pipe wherever one wants. Replacing faulty sprinklers is even easier. Just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. One does not need to be a rocket scientist to service his own system.

It may not be the box. Here is what happened to me. A reputable pest and lawn company offers once a year free sprinkler assessment. I do my own sprinkler work, but it is free so why not get the assessment. That includes reviewing the system and then making an effort to sell services/heads (yes I am a cynical fella). During this last visit they also check the sprinkler times. After they left, my wife told me they found that our system was not setup to come on at all so they fixed it.

I thought to myself.... that is not possible. I went and looked and the person had now entered a second program. This would cause the system to come on twice on Tuesdays mornings! I was blown away that someone who does this for a living could be this inept. What seems to confuse people (including professionals) is that the system that came with my house has 3 programs (A, B and C, I am not at my house now, so I hope I am using the correct terminology). You have to evaluate what is setup in each, not just program A.

A similar thing happened to my neighbor. He had someone do some landscaping for him and they looked at his sprinkler system. Next month he came to me asking about my water bill as his had doubled. You guessed it, the experts had made the same mistake, so now the system was coming on 3 times a week.

I am not saying it is NOT the control box, but it may be that there are things in the other "programs".

Barefoot, we too have had major hassles with our system. Like you, we are far away, NY in our case.
The house was new when we were there in March. I had the company who installed the irrigation system come out and check it as required since it only has a one month warranty. The rep assured me all was well. He showed me how to use the timer and checked and adjusted all the settings. It was raining that day so he didn't want to check the heads but said he was sure it was all working.
A month or so later I got a call from my lawn guy that my lawn was extremely dry and he didn't think the irrigation system was working. I called a neighbor and asked him to check it. Our timer is different from his so he wasn't sure what was going on. Shortly after that I got a call from the Massey sales rep who had signed us up for their lawn service. He said that driving by our house he noticed that our lawn was very, very dry. He volunteered to meet my neighbor at our house to set up the timer and show the neighbor how to operate it.
Finally, my grass started to green up. My water bill was high but after lawn seemed to recover I asked my neighbor to reduce the water times and intervals, which he did. Now all seems good.
I really had trusted the company who installed the irrigation system. Maybe they were having a bad day but had it not been for a consentious Massey sales rep and a fantastic neighbor as well as my lawn guy, I'm afraid I might have lost the lawn.
We'll be returning to TV soon for the winter and among the first things I want to do is learn everything I can about the irrigation system.

I'm starting to work on my system. The first thing I noticed was a battery that helped the system to keep track of settings during a power glitch was dead. I'm replacing that as the first step. I'll post updates as I fix the system.
