Mazzaros Italian Market 2909 22nd Avenue North, St Petersburg, FL 33713

I went to high school 12 blocks from this place. There's probably not a better Italian Market in Florida. When the AAA Bus Tours resume, they have a St. Pete day trip that includes Mazarros and the Salvador Dali Museum.

Yalaha had a store near the Sears Outlet in Summerfield on CR301, they closed , thru lack of business .

Went their twice and that was enough. The Rye Bread very dry. Plus I found it expensive.

Little Italy in Inverness. But you need to call reserve the bread. It sells out quick.

The Best

I am from New York and worked in Manhattan for many years. The Arthur Avenue Market
is great if you go to NY or the Little Italy Markets/stores. That is true Italy bread.

leave the cannoli...take the gun

or was it the other way around??

seriously, give Little Italy Deli & Bakery in Inverness a shot....but ya ain't gonna find anything down here close to da north end
Mazzaro's comes the closest...but ya gotta stop off at "a packie" before going there, cuz it's a 4 beer drive (but worth it)

You have it correctly, but I always felt the other way was more appropriate. Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Because cannolis are love. Guns are death. What's more satisfying?

Also from Boston, the reason why you can NEVER get good Italian bread is because of the water. Try to find the best available. I have been here a while but its one of the food items I get as soon as I get to Boston.

I agree about the water. Can't get a really good pizza here where the crust bubbles up, but digress. Napolino's is the new name of Chef's of Napoli and you can buy their bread at the takeout counter. It is amazing but no sesame seeds. I miss scala bread too.
