Default K1 Kerosene needed

Does anyone know where I can purchase K-1 kerosene near the village of Chatham? I’m not looking for 1 gallon cans I am looking for a gas station where I can fill a 5 gallon jug of it. I use it for cleaning miscellaneous parts for automobiles, chainsaws etc. It is the cheapest way of doing so I have found.

Thanks

Rural King may sell 5 gallon cans of K-1 for heaters. I haven't seen it at any gas stations.

It appears the only difference between K1 (for lamps and stoves) and K2 (diesel engines) is the sulfur content, not sure this would be a problem for cleaning equipment. You may save some money going with diesel fuel. I used a product called tri-clean, as it was very effective, and did not leave a residue. I checked Rural King website, they have 5 gallon cans of K1, $39.99.

Thank you for the heads up. I guess I will have to try diesel.

Agree with Villagetinker, diesel will work just fine and is readily available and cheaper. I use diesel to clean lots of greasy gunky things such as the greased up areas near all the joints on the front end loader of my tractor and the chain on my Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle.
