Default Help! Rotten wood Under exterior vinyl

Found some rotten wood under exterior vinyl above front porch. Need recommendations on a contractor to call for a repair.

Have some rotten plywood under exterior siding on home. Need to have this repaired. Looking for recommendations for handyman/contractors. Thanks.

IMHO, you may want to also have a full inspection and at least a termite inspection. I had a similar situation back up North, and ended up having to completely replace the entire wall. Termites had taken up residence in the 2 by 4 studs as well as the plywood. The problem was traced to the way the siding and drip edge were installed.

for years the Pesticide industry has not been required to completely treat the foundation and slab of a home. Now all they have to do is treat the lower 3 feet with a borax solution. Trouble is that termites can eat and die a path through it till they reach fresh wood. Moisture helps them stay in the wood without having to return to underground. Water probably leaked all the way down that side. Once a year inspection might have seen it before it got too big but then again having a water leak could void any termite contract.
