Default Lanai HVAC

We just had a Mitsubishi split HVAC system installed on our lanai by Kalos. Couldn't be more satisfied with the price, installation and professionalism of everyone involved. Highly recommended . Kalos price was well below others....P.Mme if you have questions or are hiring them so that you can use my name.

Thanks. We have Munn’s quoting next week. I’ll give Kalos a chance as well. Did Kalos also insulate the lanai ceiling?

Yes, insulating the ceiling was all part of their installation.

Munn's installed ours back in October and they did a great job; contact Rosalie Daniels with Munn's at 352-638-7025 for a quote.

Get as many quotes as you need but include Kalos...I believe you'll find quite a difference as we did

So a permit is required for an A/C split on the Lanai?

Yes, you need a permit. But the permit will be for a dehumidifier not an air conditioner because the county doesn't allow a lanai to be air conditioned. But the effect is the same, you set the temp you want and it cools the lanai... it just a permitting technicality.

When the inspection for our lanai split the inspector didn't even look to see if the unit could be used as a dehumidifier, just that the breaker was the right size and not much else.
