I know there are other similar threads, but I'd like to get the latest possible opinions...

I want a mulching, walk-behind service (no riding mowers). Other than that, all I'm looking for is good, clean trimming and edging, sharp general mowing of course, and reliability.

That is why I didn't recommend Falcon Lawn & Pest, who have done a great job for us for the past two years.
They offer one-stop shopping which we prefer: mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, weeding, spraying for pests indoors and out.
But I don't want you to come and hunt me down in Canada, if they don't perform adequately based on your requirements.
