Try the meat market on 301 in Wildwood. Never ordered there myself but have heard good things from others who have.

Good Luck. Been looking for one since we got here in 2004. Had a great one up in Toledo. I get a chance during the summer to go back there. Nothing here compares. The best quality I've had so far is at Sam's Club. There was one down in Orlando but that's a bit far to go. Don't remember the name however. If you find a good one post it, I'd be interested. I was not impressed with Wildwood.

I believe that it has changed hands and is now named The Local Butcher and Market.

In Los Angeles I went to Darko's, the sign said "You Can Beat our Prices but you can't Beat Our Meat".

Thanks, I will give them a try. I see in later posts the name has changed. I'll try Bellview also. I went there some time ago and it was a small place. I will try this one you mention in Winter Park. I really miss a good old fashion Butcher Shop. While the beef at Sam's is good the pork leaves much to be desired. Its tough meat. I'm glad someone decided to post this thread.

What happened to the guy with the white truck or sometimes in his Lincoln continental with coolers in the trunk. Forgot his name.?

I wouldn't buy anything this way, least of all meat. Several of my neighbors fell for it and said it was awful. To say nothing of soliciting contrary to deed restrictions, a license, and health inspections.

If you want to buy great pork sausage Belleview Meats is your store. Pork is coarsely ground and there are no "chunks" of fat. Several varieties as well.
They cut all their own meats as well. The moved from the small store into a new double store front - North on 301 on the right near Kmart. Original owner bought the store back. |
