Default microwave repair

Has anyone had to have their microwave repaired? Did you find a reliable source?

I just threw it out and got a new one. It was a lot cheaper than a repairman.

I had mine repaired and a few months later it died supposedly of a different problem. Wish I had just replaced it to start with. It was only 4 years old.

Some months ago our microwave's magnetron went out, when it was 5 years old. Beck's Appliance Repair installed a new magnetron, since we didn't want to hassle with trying to find a unit that would fit the same over-the-counter space. Highly recommend Beck's.

Speaking for Appliance Masters of Central Florida, our techs would recommend purchasing a new one since the prices of Microwaves are extremely reasonable. Lowes and Home Depot are always offering specials on them.
It would make sense to replace rather than repair.
