Question phone service

Moving down on April 29th and must pick a phone service. Comcast has a good rate for triple play, Vonage says I can keep my phone number and its a set price per month. Any suggestions as to the best way to go.

We have Comcast triple play and no complaints. Nice to have tv, phone, and IP all-in-one.

Why would you want to keep your old number? It would be a long distance call for one of your new neighbors to call you, but a local call for your old neighbors to call. I use 8x8 as a voip provider (http://www.8x8.com/) @ about $25.00/mo incl taxes, etc. Unlimited calls and long distance U.S. and Canada, caller messaging, caller ID, three-way calling, etc., etc....

I use Ooma. I have a local number and for the second line will port my Virginia number so I have both. Ooma is $225 one time charge then free forever for local and long distance with one line and $10 a month for the second line.
