Love the Bosch we have. Quiet and efficient. Local man Derrick can install

We bought our Bosch dishwasher from Lowes. Also had our handyman Derek Phillips install it for us. Totally happy with the whole thing.

Top rated of the three is Bosch Ascenta at $600.

When I bought mine, I used Consumer reports, too. The washer was around $700 and a very nice looking machine. My wife's complaint.....it was too quiet!! She was concerned it wasn't running - hahaha. She also didn't like the controls in the top of the door (yeah, I know) but it sure gives the front a clean look. It has a stainless tub and I would certainly buy another one when the time comes.

We have had Bosch dishwashers in our last 2 homes. Great and SO quiet- the only way I knew it was on was the a small red light shining from the the bottom of the dw onto the floor.

16 years and still working

16 years 'old', BOSCH DISHWASHER is STILL working great, quiet and never had to be repaired! Worth the extra money.

If you want the absolute best Dishwasher, buy a Miele. Bottom of the line, about $1000; top of the line, about $3000. Third level rack for silverware, water softener, and air drying are some of the features. We bought one 7 years ago in NJ ($1300). We liked it and brought it to the Villages in 2017.

Bosch was our other choice (less expensive), but spending our sons' inheritance was more fun.

We went with Kitchen Aid ( High end Whirlpool) about 5 years ago. Took 2-3 hours to cycle and dishes were so so. Service was great but made no difference in results in spite of various detergents.

Moral: Check into cycling and rediculous energy saving and environmental features that detract from washing dishes!!!

My whirlpool is awful it’s 2 years old and doesn’t dry the dishes or silverware. There is not a 2 yr warranty., the warranty starts when they buy them for the houses. When I closed on my house I discovered from whirlpool there was only 9 months left on the warranty. All of their appliances are pretty mediocre. I’d never buy a whirlpool on my own.

According to The Villages warranty department, the appliances in a new house have a warranty that is provided by the manufacturer and it starts on the date of your closing, not when the builder purchased the appliance. The Villages is now installing mostly GE appliances that come with a 2 year warranty.

Any of the big box stores during the Black Friday sales. Always the prices of the year.

We've got a 10-year-old Bosch. Never a problem . Love it. Wait . . . I'll be right back . . . I'm sure I turned it on about a half-hour ago . . . but I don't hear it.

My favorite and I at one time repaired and sold appliances. Kitchen Aid has always been great quality and very reliable. I have a KAid in my house up north now for 16 years. Still working perfectly as new. Buy the middle of the line or top of the line better sound proofing insulation. Just my opinion.
