Default Need help unloading U-Haul truck August 7

Looking for a couple of men to help unload a U-Haul 15 foot truck. Very little furniture mostly boxes and storage cabinets. King size box spring and mattress and two small dressers. Probably won’t be over a couple hours. Any suggestions.

Two men came to help us unload Pod and truck when we moved here year 'round. They came all the way from Orlando and were suggested to us by a poster on this forum. They worked hard and got everything squared away and then asked for a ridiculous fee. WAY TOO LOW!!!!

We had to pay them more.

Excellent workers.

You will find help I am sure.

Reference assistance with moving -

Try the parking lot of your local Home Depot or Lowes.

Many "Good, Hardworking" Mexican's, South America's, etc. willing to work for cash....

BTW, many if not most of these same "citizens" are very handy around the house if you require any type of work done and they work for a reasonable price..

They are very good people.

Give them a try...

I called them and they have a minimum of 295. I don’t really have that much heavy stuff. The lowest quote I received was 159 for two hours. The name of that company is helping hands

Call Tom Tisdell. T.A. Tisdell 407-456-4290. We have used him twice. Once to move a bedroom set we bought here in The Villages and once to unload a trailer we brought from up north. Great guy and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I would not do that under any circumstances. Only hire bonded, insured American citizens to protect yourself should someone be injured or your goods damaged. You could be responsible for much more if you don’t take those measures.

We used:

The Villages Movers | Choose Village Mover with over 41,000 moves

to unload pods from our primary home up north AND then a few weeks later to move stuff from our winter place near Tampa to TV. Highly recommended.

In the past I used some guys from Craigslist to unload pods for me and would never do it again. As Aces says, you want people who are bonded and insured in case something is broken (or disappears).

Good luck with your move.
