Snowbirds down the street were paying for walk-in mower, $100 for interior small lot. Company started using rider, in June, because he lost 3 guys.

I have a push mower team from choice maintenance.
It is a 3 man team and they are here for 10 minutes tops from parking to leaving.
They do a good, but not great job, largely because they don’t sharpen blades often enough imho. But they aren’t destroying the tilth of what little subsoil we have in Florida and gouging out the sod with heavy weight and sloppy riding of the crews we see here
The cost is $72/month.

If we didn’t travel regularly back and forth to see outbids we would absolutely do our lane and it would look a million times better.

I would use my fabulous manual reel mower with perfectly sharpened blades. No electricity, no ragged blades. Just beautiful grass. I miss having a lovely lawn

But grass grows much too quick here and when we are gone for a week it would mean overgrown yard for our neighbors and impossible cutting task when I returned.

Good luck!

Somehow that reminds me of the Great Gatsby:)

They're not that quiet...

Most golf carts driving by are noisier than my electric mower.

Our houses, compared to the new areas are a lot further apart. Our next-door neighbor and across the street, didn’t even realize we had mowed the lawn that morning, at 6:30am

Try centipede grass. It is supposed to grow slowly and do well in Florida.

Never noticed that problem with mine.
