Gregg Smith Automotive in Belleview. Been going there for 19 years!

I have a problem with Jenkins with them telling me I need around $800 worth of services every time I go when I only need oil change. Oil change generally takes two hours even with a 8 o’clock appt because they say they have to check everything else out. I can get free oil changes there but because of the hassles I pay Wildwood Tire to do it. In and out in 1/2 hour.

You do not need to have maintenance work done by a dealer to maintain your Hyundai warranty. It is true that you could "jeopardize" the warranty if it is not properly maintained, but it does not need to be maintained by a dealer. From Hyundai:

"You are allowed to service your vehicle yourself if you have the training. It won’t void the vehicle warranty. But you should log each service, including the mileage, type of service and products used."

It would be illegal to require that a vehicle be serviced by a dealer.

If it is like our Toyota SUV there is not much to do except full synthetic oil change and rotate the tires. That should run under $100.00.

Hyndai of Central Florida in Clermont

When I was shopping for my Tuscon I went to Jenkins in Leesburg and got an extremely aggressive hard sell. Then I went to Hyndai of Central Florida in Clermont they were much nicer and offered me a significantly lower price, so I bought my Tuscon from them. They gave me free regular maintenance for 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever came first, so I got my regular maintenance done there and they seemed to do a good job. It's been over 3 years so I'll have to pay for my next routine maintenance but I'll go back. My Hyundai runs perfectly.

Sumter Tire and Auto on Rt. 301 in Wildwood. Family business and they are very honest.

Expect the usual upsell overpriced sales pitches for air filter replacement, cabin filter replacement, battery, sunroof rail lube, many DIY projects for a fraction of the cost. Also, vehicle sales price at Jenkins Hyundai were much higher, especially after undisclosed fees during negotiation, than places like Holler Hyundai.

Jenkins also ripped me off.

I would really follow up on free oil changes. In pass (not in Florida) some dealers didn’t change oil, most people don’t keep vehicle 3 years or know if they did it or done it right. Always wise to follow up on any routine work at dealerships or anywhere else make sure getting want stated free or paid for. I highly doubt is was free anyway? Somewhere there was charge to cover it IMO.

Every time I brought new vehicle I had felling I got ripped off. IMO they won’t trade if they don’t get what they want.
