Has anyone tried the new airport shuttle service Pelican Bay Express? They operate out of Leesburg on 44. I have not seen any advertisement yet but they do have a web site.

Just made my reservation with Pelican Express for pick-up at the airport on 10/21. MCO to The Villages in a private shuttle is currently $35. I will come back to review their service once I've experienced it. Reservation process was seamless and you can choose to pay by credit card at the time of reservation, or pay the driver cash at the time of service. Phone number is 352-901-6356

Since they pick you up at your house, I'd be curious to know how many stops are going to be made between the northern side before going to the airport. That's the specific reason I use the pickup at Sumter. I don't like adding an hour of ride time to make stops.

I used this service for transport from the airport (MCO) to my home in Tamarind Grove on 10/21. My flight arrived at 1:12pm. I had a call from the driver almost as soon as I touched down. I met the van in the same area that Airport Express picks up at. I waited about 15 min for them. There were three other drop offs in this particular load. They first went to Osceola Hills, then Pine Hills and then I was dropped in Tamarind Grove. Not sure where the last person lived. Price was $35.

So, it's a shared ride service just like the Villages Airport Express. The vans are brand new and the owner lives in The Villages. The driver appeared to be from The Villages. I still prefer The Villages shuttle from /to Brownwood, if their schedule matches mine, and I have a ride, but I would certainly recommend Pelican Express if that's the type of service you are looking for.

My neighbor's daughter used it from Pennecamp to Orlando airport and it was great. No others in the van with her and her fiancee. They came in 12/22 and left 12/27.

I used them on the afternoon of Christmas Eve to go to MCO. I was the only one in the van but then again, it was Christmas Eve ! I was told at the time they were completely booked up until after Jan 1. They have 10 vans, all fairly new, professional courteous drivers and were at my house early ! Great service.
