Default Sliding Glass Door Repair

Need a recommendation for contractor to fix sliding patio door. It has become increasingly difficult to slide it in either direction. I clean the tracks regularly with Goo Off. The slider is 11 years old. Thx

Default 2wd

Our builder recommended 2WD and I just rolled my eyes! Surprizing it works, so you can teach an old dog new tricks. Try it, it might save you some money.

Default sliding door

If you look @ your windows and the locks have a CWS then Custom Window Systems manufactured and installed your windows and sliding glass doors. I had the same problem and could not find anyone to do the repair I called The Villages warranty department and they gave me the number for CWS 800 550-1081. They replaced the rollers on my sliding glass door and now it works great. The repairman's name was Ozzy and he did a great job.

Not covered by warranty, my home is 10 years old. $50 for the service call including the repair, plus $25 for the parts (rollers). There is an adjustment screw on each side at the bottom of the door, if the door is just dragging but the rollers on mine were worn out. If you google how to adjust rollers on a sliding glass door, you can find a video.

Thx for the suggestions to fix the sliding glass door. The lubricant worked. Cheap & easy.
