It doesn't seem as though A.C. Moore has fabric. If this is the case, it will be difficult to attract another craft store such as Joanne's which carries all crafts, including fabric. This is unfortunate.

The little craft shop next to the golf shop in southern trace died rather quickly. Too bad but I think it probably was the rents and the fact that the southern part of the Villages was really just opening...I don't think they could bridge between then and now. They were just open in summer, 2005 when we moved here....they didn't last very long. I guess it's Hobby Lobby up in Ocala for now.

Yes A.C. Moore is similar to Michaels. And yes they do not carry fabric.

Do they have plastic models and paints for them? Been having to go to Palm Harbor to find a suitable range of paints for my various models. I go back there every few months anyway.

Did the Sam's Club open? Where exactly is it located on 27/441? I searched their web site and the only club I found by The Villages is over on RT 200 outside Ocala. I was hoping a Costco would be close, but Orlando is not close as far as I consider.

Looks like its just South of Home Depot on the same side.

Grand opening is January 22. Don't know if they'll have a soft opening a day or two earlier. As mentioned in another thread, the gas station and car wash is already open. We got gas there on Sunday and paid $1.749.

I can't wait till they open but will probably stay away for the first week or two. It will be a nut house.

It's located just south of Home Depot across from Best Buy, Kohls, etc. shopping area.

Are you sure that the Kohl's is not coming if you go to the website they give you a telephone number and the ad for the active sale. Also you do have a Sams club coming that is not on the Website. Thanks for you help

Bluedog, I think you're looking at the first few posts from this thread which are about a year old.

Kohls opened in late October and Sams Club opens next week. Both are reality :clap2:
