Paid a lot of money for oak flooring. Beautiful, but the noise when walked on was awfull.
Replaced with oak pattern vinyl, warmer, a hole lot quieter, and most visitors never noticed the change.
Vinyl hands down us.

Default Vinyl Plank Floors

The vinyl plank is very durable, waterproof ,realistic, affordable, softer on feet/joints,
and is fantastic all around. It's been out residential for over 5 years and is proven with great reviews and options. There are some very cheap versions that are not great; so be careful. Most brands with a 12mil wear layer or higher are durable enough for almost anything. We carry Coretec, Shaw, Multicore, Armstrong, and many other LVPs. We will come out with samples, measure and give free estimates. We can explain pros and cons of all hard surface flooring. Call Encore today at 352 303 3859 with any questions or to get your free estimate.

We just ordered a fairly nice quality vinyl plank from The Floor Shoppe on Rt 301 (because of recommendations on this forum). Cost is about $7.25 per square foot installed.
