Sherwin Williams makes a paint called Direct to Metal, I painted my garage door using a "Thin-Nap" long boy roller 11 years ago. Still looks fine. Len the retired half of Investment Painting

I'm 62 and a woman and did it myself in a few hours, just make sure you buy good quality paint meant for metal and sun exposure. It's easy, I used a brush.
