Default Pest / Termite Control

Just placed a down payment on a new villa and I am doing my research on pest / termite control.

Who is the best / worst

I know of Bates, Massey & Teminix. How are they to work with?

Does anyone have experience with Villages Pest control or Truely Nolan? I have seen these signs around as well.

Thank you in advance.

I have used Superior Services for 5 years and have been very satisfied. They also handle my irrigation system as well as fertilizing my grass and bushes.

"Squished?"

As the name for a pest control company?

Hilarious!

I love it!

Don't do anything or sign up with anyone, regardless of what someone tells you or what you hear via the grapevine.
You probably won't need routine pest control and if you have a problem, treat the problem when you have an issue.
Homeowners need to stop poisoning the environment needlessly -- inside and out -- which is rampant in The Villages.

Termite Control is one contract; Pest Control another. They are very different.

Termite Control typically consists of a larger payment initially for coverage, is good for one year, and is renewable yearly after an inspection which is much less than your initial cost.

Pest Control is usually a quarterly application (sometimes monthly) abound the outside perimeter of your home. Some also offer interior treatment when it is needed. Contracts for this service can be monthly, quarterly, or annually.

I find it useful to have one company do all my lawn services - termite, pest control, fertilizer and weed control, sprinkler system, because then they cannot blame someone else for a problem and put you in the middle. For example, if you develop a brown spot in your yard, your fertilizer person may say it is not getting enough water while your sprinkler person says it is not getting enough fertilizer. If the same company does both services, you can just tell them to solve the problem.

I agree with you. I dropped Massey for pest control. Will do it myself and save the money.

thank you for your advice.
I have talked with two so far (Bates and VPS) both are one year contracts.
