After reading through the old forums it seems Deans and Massey's are toss ups. Equal numbers of people either like them or they don't. Does anyone know anything about a company named, Bates Exterminating? It's a family run business.

Massey only because they did the initial work.....their annual inspection is a joke

but having maintained the coverage will make termites a non-issue when it comes time to sell

you may want to check out if there might be an extra start up charge if you engage someone that didn't do the initiate treatment before another company will take over responsibility

I called Bates to get a quote on taking over my Massey termite contract when it expires. The woman I spoke with could not answer my questions, but said she would have someone call me back within a short time. However, no one called me back. So, I cannot recommend the company.

We've tried Deans, switched to Bates, seems equal in services. All depends on the person who arrives to do the work that day; workers can differ.

I don't know who did your annual inspection from Massey, but mine have not been a joke. When they do the annual inspection, they looked in every corner, closet, under sinks , in my attic and around the outside of my house. I have used them for termite and pest control and in 10 years, I have never had any critters in my house unless they flew in when the door opened.

I have used Bates for several years. I think they are wonderful. If I ever see a bug in the house they come right over. They are reasonably priced. You have the same tech every they come which is every other month.
