Default Price of Medicines

What the heck is going on? I usually have my long term prescriptions filled by the company that AARP suggest with the supplemental insurance; but when it is a prescription for a month or two I fill it at the local CVS or Walgreens Pharmacy. I had one prescription (generic) for which I was charged $35.00 the first time. The second time I was charged $17.50 and today I was charged $7.00 The same medicine the same amount of pills. Go and figure this one out.

one important thing to remember is to show your plan D card when getting short term prescriptions filled at local drugstores. mine is on file both with walgreen's and aarp's prerferred mail order store. which in the past was walgtreen's but is now rx solutions.
