Removal of hot tub?
I have a hot tub that I would like removed. Any suggestions? I just want it gone.

I would stay away from Tri-County Pool and Spa.... from personal experience.

Put in an ad for FREE hot tub, however buyer must remove. Now some words of caution, if this is a 240 volt model, make sure the disconnect switch is in the OFF position, and then LOCK it. The wiring to the tub would also need to be removed. If it is in a screened in area, you will probably need to have the screening removed and possibly the support aluminum, I know from experience.
If the hot tub is JUNK, cut it up with a reciprocating saw, the trash company for a large pickup, and put the pieces where they tell you. NOTE: I used SPA Kingdom to move ours, cost $150 to move about 30 feet, no idea of the cost to completely remove. Neighbors had a couple of guys from T&D (I think) removed theirs for free as it was still in good condition.

I did exactly as Village Tinker suggests a couple years ago. Put an ad in Craig's List for a free tub but you remove it. The fellow came with a couple of friends and a trailer and hauled it away... Everything good, my hot tub gone, he got a free hot tub.

I think I would prefer to have a professional come remove this. It was working fine, but that was 3 years ago. Still covered and not in bad shape. I just never use it and would like the extra space.
