There are two companies that will insure shingle roofs that are up to 20 years old and many that will insure up to 15. The roof has to be performing though and not have excessive granule loss, cupping, tearing, etc.

You will probably be required to get a 4 point inspection, but wait until they ask for it. If you don't have a recent Wind Mitigation inspection, ask if they offer a discount if you get one or if it's already baked in for a home of your age.
