As many homeowners face replacing our 15+ year old roofs who do you recommend who does a good job and charges a reasonable price?

I got three quotes and Quality Services was the lowest, by quite a bit. They did what they said they would do and showed up when they said they would. Job was done in 1.5 days for a customized 3/2 ranch. I've also seen a number of jobs being done by Sacks roofing so they must be competitive.

Some of us have 20 and 30 year roofs.

I assume one does not replace a roof just due to it's age?

Sack Roofing just did ours. We got 6 estimates and were most impressed with their price and presentation.

Not sure if this is directed at OP or me, but I'll answer.
Our roof was 19 years old and we probably could have gotten another year out of it. We installed solar panels to heat our pool and the new roof needed to come first.

Sorry peeps, but after 15 years of the Florida sun beating down on your 20-30 year asphalt shingles you too will be replacing your roofs.

Default Roof Contractor

Just did our roof a few months ago. Used Batterbee roofing and couldn't be happier. I had 7 bids and being a contractor sorted them out and it came down to Batterbee or Eustis roofing. I didn't use Quality because I wanted the ridge vent shingled.(looks mostly) and I want's thrilled with the shingle choice. I didn't use Sacks only because I wanted the synthetic underlayment. It came down to using a 50yr shingle which I did, having the job done in one day, which they did and the fact that Justin from Batterbee was the only person who made follow up calls, had immediate information when I asked for it, and actually went above board in making sure we were satisfied. Great job and a Great crew. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but fair.

I just replaced a nineteen year old roof with Quality roofing. I got a number of bids and they were the lowest. They showed up on time, did the work in one day and completely cleaned up when they finished. I would definatley se them again.

I had Sacks fix a leak in my manufactured house roof. They did a good job and will have them replace the roof when we become full time TV people.

In response to billethkid about 20-30 years old roofs and why people are replacing. You might want to check with your insurance company. After 20 years, if you have a leak and knew your roof was old and perhaps needing replacing, insurance may/may not cover damages. Insurance I think would be the primary reason. Additionally, getting a new roof gets you a discount on wind mitigation.

Lots of good information in this thread. Anyone willing to give approximate cost for work done on Designer home?

We replaced our's a year ago and used Quality Service. Jason was great and we have no
Complaints. He did my brother in law and his mother in law.
