Should House Cleaners be Insured?
Should house cleaners be insured and/or bonded? If so, looking for recommendations for insured house cleaners. Thanks.

Should be, but few are.

I can't imagine how it would help you, unless they break something that has extreme value. If they steal something, they won't admit it, and the insurance won't do you any good. In either case, you should have homeowners insurance to cover the loss.

Absolutely................Should have Worker's Comp coverage. If they get injured in your home, you are liable.
I'm not worried about stolen or broken items. |

That's true unless they are self employed.

Good luck finding a house cleaner where the company is complying with all of the workers comp insurance, payroll taxes, and labor laws, and the workers are in the country legally. And, where the company has liability insurance and bonded employees. I don't think a company like that could compete. Some may tell you they comply, but try to ask them to prove it with actual current documents.

Here's the reality. If they have to pay to be insured, then your fee will be greater.
Should they be insured? Should all wives be beautiful? Should all husbands be rich? Should all grandchildren be smart?

Taking into consideration a couple of the places we have rented, the first question should be "Do they know how to clean in the first place!"
