Default Phone calls to England

What is the best way to call a person living in England, as far as cost goes?

Be careful! I bought a Straight Talk phone because the sales person at
Walmart told me I could call international free in my plan to either landline
or cell phones. That turns out to be false information. It seems I
cannot call cell phones in London, only landlines.

Default Calling out of the USA

I frequently call overseas, especially to the UK. I have always used 10-10-987 10-10-987 Worldwide Rates. It costs 55c for the connection and 9 cents per minute thereafter. It really is the cheapest way of calling overseas. I have a sister living in the UK and I spend sometimes an hour on the phone with her.

If you dial from your landline 10 10 987 011 44 and the telephone number you will have no trouble. The website will spell it all out for you.

Get Skype if you have a computer. Calls are either free, or a very modest monthly fee of $8. I call the UK and Spain for $8 per month. Send me a pm and I will email you the free link.

Default Calls to England

Buy a $10 International Phone card at CVS. The rate is 5 cents per minute i.e. 200mins for $10. You can then top it up by phone.

if there is just one person you call a lot you can purchase a magic-jack and mail it to them. They will have a US number and you can talk all you want for one reasonable annual fee

I Skype my grandchildren and Mum every week, it is free as long as both parties have Skype, also you get the added bonus of being able to see them, grandson is so cute as he kisses the screen.

Vonage, need hi-speed Internet, worldwide unlimited free long distance. And you can get a free extension app for your iPhone so, free international calls from cell phone, but cell phone works only for US outgoing calls.
