We had a birdcage installed, contractor told us of the need to move irrigation lines, and made arrangements to have this done once the forms were in place for the concrete pad (we were told NO active water lines allowed under concrete pads, except for the original house plumbing). There were 3 lines (zones) involved, each was identified and new lines installed to maintain the correct zones.
As I mentioned above, this needs to be pursued with BBB and Seniors Against Crime.

You obviously didn't use T&D and are learning you get what you pay for. Chip Parish does great irrigation system work.

The OP has not come back and many are suggesting reporting the contractor for doing something wrong. But nowhere does the OP say he was not aware that he would be responsible for any needed irrigation line repair. We've had posters say that it only cost $200 to get it done, and others that T&D wanted $4000 to cover the lawn and irrigation part of the job. So it is entirely possible that the OP all along knew that he had to bear this cost. You either pay the pool contractor who subcontracts the work and takes a cut or you pay it directly to the irrigation man which ultimately would likely be less expensive. I don't see any evidence that the pool company did anything wrong unless the OP comes back and says the company promised to either not damage the irrigation lines or that the expected damage would be paid by the company not the homeowner.

Of course no extra charge, but I guarantee you paid for it in the original charge. They didn't do it for free. You just paid T&D instead of paying some other person/company to do that part of the job. And apparently per another poster, T&D won't let you delete that piece of the contract to get your own person, which suggests it has some significant built in profit. Perhaps you can look at your bid/contract and see what they charged for rerouted pipes and wiring, if it was itemized.

Agree with this.

Or more accurately - The cost was included.
