Default Village Airport Van

We've been unable to reach the Village Airport Van at 352-241-2000 for two days, to make a booking. They haven't returned phonecalls. We've used them often in the past and this has never happened before. (This is a private service ... I'm not looking for information on The Villages Shuttle Service bus out of SS and LSL).

If anyone knows anything about the Village Airport Van, we'd appreciate a post here or a PM.

I sure hope it isn't like the Florida Jitney service ... active one day and gone the next!

Barefoot - I just tried them at (352) 241-2000. Verified with the fellow who answered that the were indeed Village Airport Van and that they were still a "goin' thing". He said they were. Told him of them not being reachable for a few days - he explained they'd just put in a new phone system........so maybe that explains it!

Give 'em a call now - good luck!

Thanks for the research Bill! I appreciate it. I'd given up calling them after two days. Although I still find it strange they're not returning calls left on their answering machine! Oh well. Now we've made reservations with The Villages Shuttle Service .. Fireboy is going to try out their new "pick you up at home" service.

But his return flight is coming in after 11 PM, so we'll try Village Airport Van for that one. Thanks again!

No problem-o, Barefoot. Sounds like it's all working out for you. And who knows about the messages you left? Maybe they went on their "old" system they replaced. Doesn't sound like they had a good transition plan...............

Are you saying that The Villages Shuttle Service has a new service that will pick you up at home?
