Default Seeking Plumber Recommendation

I have a leaking bathroom faucet. After two trips to the hardware store and several hours, I give up. Anyone have a plumber recommendation?

Mike Scott Plumbing. If the faucet is old, you may want to decide if you want to replace it with a new one. In that case, you can buy a new faucet and let the plumber install it instead of repairing the old one.

I agree with both of the above.

Good handyman job about 1/4 cost of Mike Scott. Every time I call Mike Scott for an estimated price for something I am shocked at the price. Kiley is good if it really needs a licensed plumber. A leak usually is a DIY or a handyman 99% of the time.

If the faucet is Delta, they typically have a lifetime warranty. Home warranty can give you the exact model number (etc), and delta will supply replacement parts at no cost. Now they will NOT supply the replacement cartridge, I know, as it appears that is what I need to fix my leaky shower faucet.

I think most major companies guarantee faucets. I know Price Pfister does also (for life).
I also think you are right when you say cartridge is problem. As per my previous post, a handyman should be able to do repair if someone does not want to do it themselves. You can get some good instructions online if you google it and watch some you tubes.

If it’s a sink faucet, the leak is more than likely the result of the “seat and springs”. Typically drips are not caused by a cartridge. Although Delta, Kohler, etc will probably send you the parts for free, a much simpler solution is to buy them locally for less than $10. If your leak is a shower faucet, a cartridge is more than likely the issue.
