We have had NOVA for a year and the water tastes much better. So glad we went with them. Perfect system. Not overpriced, and very good people to deal with. NO BS at all.

Who installed your Nova?

rjackson1759 03-01-2020 08:12 AM

We have been using Nova for three years and find it more than adequate for removing impurities.

NOVA installs everything. 352-661-0997 or 352-566-2649.

Installation is included in the price. It is $575.

It's on their website.

I have Pelican and love it.

To me, the Nova guy has an attitude and it turned me off.

Good Luck.

So what is the GE water water system?

Ronlynch@comcast.net 03-01-2020 09:33 AM

We have NOVA and really like it. Water quality was Night and Day once we installed the system. We did not need the water softener. We go by Nova's recommendation of 26,000 gallons. An annual filter change is easy to remember however we, like you, are only two folks with infrequent visitors so it will take longer to reach their 26K recommendation. Another thing to consider is that we had a water main break and the drinking water was contaminated for a few days. Nova handled it with no problem but we will change ours at the annual date this year to be on the safe side. The guys at NOVA are fantastic and customer focused. Installation was less than 45 minutes.

Check to see if the products are endorsed by the Water Quality Association. WQA.org.

I have Pegasus and love it best money we ever spent. Ask for Robert tell him John & Tish Barona recommend him and he will give you a good deal.

Samfl 03-01-2020 09:50 AM

They are both good. Nova requires filter changes but is around $500 installed. Also Pegasus is a good choice. Water filteration and softening is a must

Why do you need a water purifier?

We've looked at this subject several times. We've had a demonstration in our home, and we've seen how a smear on our stainless fridge looks so bad with our water vs purified water. In the end however, after talking with people in the plumbing industry, people in The Villages really don't need such an expensive system. We have a simple sediment and charcoal filter system on our home, and the water quality is fine. My showers aren't being compromised, the dishes come out clean, and in my opinion it would be better to invest in the stock market when it's so low!!! I just don't see that you'll be getting a great return on investment with these expensive water treatment systems.

Reading this thread with interest, so far I've only learned how much NOVA costs. How much does the Pegasus system cost?

Hans53 03-01-2020 10:19 AM

did the sediment and charcoal filter with plumbing company and its fine.

mgkw1 03-01-2020 10:32 AM

We love our NOVA. Fast install no bags of sale to lug around, less expensive than the others

Their maintenance according to their website "Filter be replaced every 6-9 months"
Ours is 7-12 months

Not sure why you said we're a small local biz, we ship not only nationally, but internationally. In TV we have I believe more customers (over 5,000)

Nova started in NY over 40 years ago, since 2013 I'm living in TV
