Cool 1,200 COVID vaccines for 130,000 residents!

Really? That amount may not be enough for our front line workers and nursing home residents. These will be available on January 4, 2021, via the Sumter County Health Department. I called and asked if they were going to the nursing homes first and the person did not know. She said that there would be a press release with all the information.

Another vaccine thread? Maybe the mods could merge this with one of the existing ones?

There is a press release. 2500 Moderna vaccines have been received. No mention of how many Pfizer vaccines have already been received. Moderna will be given to health care workers first and then to folks having 'medical conditions of such severity that they may not be able to participate in a mass vaccination event'. I took that to be the nursing homes. Following the Executive Order requirements, there are130,000 people eligible now in Sumter County.

Starting 1/4/21 you can call Co Health Dept and schedule an appointment in Bushnell. Limited supply only. Good luck with that.....

Roll them into the mask posters. Then it’s a one and done.
