Default 20 Year Anniversary of 9-11-2001.

I recall I was preparing to do my three hours of volunteering at East Lake Community Library in Palm Harbor, FL when this happening. Every volunteer and library staff member that afternoon was in shock. Same when I went to volunteer at the Palm Harbor Library that Saturday afternoon following.

Many of the volunteers at these two libraries were from New England at that time.

I have a dog park friend whose birthday is 9/11. That must be a very hard birthday to have.

I was on my first day of a three day business trip in London. I flew out of Boston the day before on American Airlines. I got stranded in London for 8 days before I could finally get a flight home. I just wanted to be with my family. When I returned to Logan airport and went to long term parking to get my car, it had been moved and there was a note inside that said all cars in the lot, including mine, had been thoroughly searched for evidence. Through my work contacts, I knew a few people who were in the towers : (

I was in Pakistan with ears that were still ringing from a car bomb explosion 3 days before , that had convinced me that at 62 enough was enough and it was time to retire , although I was talked into staying for a few more months. It was mentioned on here that it must be a bad birthday date well unless you knew someone and even if you did , life is about moving on , you can remember the moment but you have to live in the present and hope the future will be better
