Here's the truth: Coronavirus Likely Will Infect Us All. Lockdown is Delaying the Inevitable. www[dot]acsh[dot]org/news/2020/05/11/coronavirus-likely-will-infect-us-all-lockdown-delaying-inevitable-14779 We have the flu every year like clockwork even though "we have a vaccine". Lockdowns are nonsense. Masks do nothing to change the eventual outcome. In fact, they prevent herd immunity that so many people say they have as a goal. You can't become immune if you aren't exposed. Take your mask off. Go out to eat. Sing at church. If you are at risk or immune compromised, don't do any of that stuff. But, don't think that wearing a mask is doing anything except ruining our lives (our economy, our country, etc). That's it. Move one. The NY Times reports 70,000 new infections in a single day. Good! Let's get it up to 700,000 or 7,000,000 per day and get this thing over with. Reminder: for the vast majority of the population (97+%), this is a non-event. Infection does not mean death. For some it doesn't even mean "sick". For most, it's just like the flu. And, we've never shut down the country or the economy because of the flu. Shocked at people not wearing masks? You're part of the problem. |

You have a lot of people shouting at these kind of events which is encouraged by the host. Not discouraged. Wear a mask when interacting with other people to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus. Quote:

Great to watch the enthusiasm people have for the country.

Tell that to the almost 224,000 people who have died from this here in the US.

Masks were required in order to pass through security, masks were given out all day. People in bleachers were for the most part, military families who had preferential treatment, they earned it!

80,000+ die each year of the flu and that's with a vaccine. So, an additional 144,000 died. That's an additional 0.0004 of the population or 0.04%. And for that we ruined the economy and shut down the country? Stupid stupid stupid. So, millions and millions of people have lost their jobs, homes, careers, savings, more broken families, abuse, suicides for the few that are vulnerable to this? This is not meant to sound uncaring. But, why are the lives of those who die from the virus substantially more important than those millions who have "died" in economically or in so many other ways. It's beyond stupid. Spread the virus - get it over with. You want herd immunity? You have to INFECT the herd. |
Couple of 100 texts messages from friends all over some laughing, some appalled but most pleading me to stay in house for a week so as not to get caught in the super spread

Don’t you people grow tired of criticizing others. If you’re worried about people not wearing a mask, then stay home and avoid life. As for senior women acting like teenagers, so what? There is no age limit on having fun or enjoying yourself. This country can’t survive with people covered in plastic wrap.

Fact check: Does CDC study show '85 percent' of COVID-19 patients wore masks? Not exactly. :: WRAL.com |

You do realize that some people on which the vaccine has been tested, have died. I’ll let others try it first.

If any past rally is a indication there will be a increase in cases. They have been watching this for the past month. Expect more cases in the next week or so.
|
Time will tell if a spike happens. If it does, then we know who to blame. If it doesn't then we know more about crowds and the virus.

They are not required because of the governor and his connection to DC. It's that simple.

Decent amount of interest in the commentary.
It still amuses me that some just will not accept there is another view of the world....different from theirs....and instead of allowing other opinions, they feel the need to demean others who think differently. The mix is true to pattern. For example flu shots. Approximately 50% do not get the shot for various reasons/beliefs....just like wearing a mask (or not). And once again for those inclined to always refer to it....fear has nothing to do with doing something or not!!! |
You can't shut down the economy again. Cases are rising because of more testing. What are scaredy cats like you going to do during flu season? Get a grip and realize that the fake media are doing a good job of scaring people like you
|
Of course. You don’t think they will show the positive, do you?

Did I miss somewhere that those not in the placebo group have died from the vaccine? Was it in the US or Europe? |
Watch for a spike in cases over the next 2 weeks. Seems a shame that the very people likely to get sick are also the ones who are against vote by mail. The really sad thing is that now they will spread it through the rest of our vulnerable community. Interestingly the paper today glorified the rally where I am sure trump claimed we have turned the corner while the article just to the left of the headline talked about a major new spike in cases. I wonder whom we should believe?

I am a snowbird and up north and since July have been in my summer home in a very rural area. The population density here is 20 people per sq. mile. Bear in mind The Villages is over 4000 people per sq. mile. We have had 70 positive cases of covid19 from Jan to Oct (avg 7 per month)in the entire county. Never see a person in a store without a mask on or any large social gatherings. Bars are closed. We had a baptism at a local church Oct 11 attended by 50 - 75 people. Our covid19 positive count has increased to 112 (an increase of 42 in two weeks) with a forecast of 15 more in the next few days with all of the cases linked to attendance at the baptism. I shudder when I see pictures of people deliberately attending events like yesterday in TV with no social distancing for long periods of time. What sense does that make ? Usually I would be back in TV by now. I am dragging my feet and watching the TV hospitalization rate / bed availability rate for the next month.
