Possibly. I saw a majority of people w masks on. People were excited, and people scream when they are. Give pgcacace@gmail.com a break. Always the negative pops up.

Thank you. Refreshing to see a common sense post out here every now and then!

Sorry you don’t have a right to control the population! Many of us know these masks are worthless and a little more than a psychological aid! If your that paranoid than just stay home!

I think it’s the other way around. They control who sits behind the president and they were only allowing people with masks or ‘positive’ signs sit there. Trump has realized the importance of masks for publicity.

Not true. Anyone could sit behind in the bleachers. Everyone had to wear a mask to get in. If they chose to take it off after entering, it was their choice.

I cannot catch heart disease from someone who eats poorly. I cannot catch cancer from someone who doesn't wear sunscreen. But I certainly can be infected with a virus from someone who gets it from not practicing simple common safe practices. No one is claiming they are worried about their insurance costs goung up from covid. They are concerned for their health and safety. Ridiculous argument in the post.

Everyone worry about you and your loved ones. Wear a mask and stay away from those who don’t. We can’t rely on others.

Pretty Cool calling out the 105 year old.

How about steering this towards the lack of social distancing. You can argue about the effectiveness of masks but do you not believe the virus is contagious ? The nation has lockdowns on sporting events, limited capacities in restaurants, etc. I could not visit my wife in the hospital. Now we televise an event without an ounce of social distancing sponsored by our nation's leader and senior citizens who one would have thought had wisdom through age. I'm snow birding right now but am tired of being embarrassed to answer to local residents outside TV "what the hell is the matter with you people".

What a ridiculous reaction. Why can’t some of you folks understand that you cannot hide from a virus. These masks are little more than a psychological aid to the people wearing them. Europe is finding that out right now. And the fact that we have the number of cases going up in this country and in Europe I see as a good thing. The only way this thing is going to subside is by reaching herd immunity. Covid is not a death sentence. There are several treatments it for right now to nip it in the bud if someone gets it. Also, we are finding more cases because we are testing so much. That is a good thing. I am so sick of this paranoia especially over masks. My hope is that one day people are going to say that’s enough and throw the things in the trash for good!

South Dakota Department of Health is allegedly attributing 88 positive tests to the Sturgis rally in South Dakota and that with 450,000 rally attendees, that’s a 0.02% infection rate.
Relax people!! Don't give in the the Biden Doom and Glooom.

Not true. We were there. Anyone could sit behind the president in the bleachers as long as there was room. Everyone had to wear a mask to get into the grounds. Once in, your choice whether to wear a mask or not.

Being elderly and having serious health problems (e.g. diabetes) makes you the most vulnerable. I suspect those who fit into this category a. were not at rally or b. were masked. People are not stupid and will generally take steps to protect themselves, as needed. And the spread of the virus, as its mortality drops, moves us closer to the herd immunity that is the only long term protection.

The good news....They did a very good job of covering the event.

The bad news....easily more than half of those on camera or in the crowd did not wear a mask.

One could only reach one conclusion from watching the video...most residents do not subscribe to wearing a mask (translated.....they don't give a (bleep) about containing the virus!!)

One could also reach the conclusion that a small percentage of the overall population believe the report that it is very difficult to transmit this virus outdoors in temperatures over 77 degrees. Isn't that the official report of the CDC?

ABC purposely tries to show people without masks. The event requested social distancing measures, wearing mask and screening.
