There is a general statement that is helpful here - without any moraL judgment or in-depth research into facts or fictions.....................the FOG of WAR!

It is OK to say oops as long as you are NOT a brain surgeon.

It was parked in a densely populated neigborhood, presumably on purpose to avoid detection. The sad killing of the aid worker was unintentional.

The media is now shifting the succesful military and intelligence story to one of blame, surely with the help of the Taliban.

What am I missing?

Sounds likely to me.

Getting in was good. Getting out was good, but would have been better after bin Laden "slipped" out of Afghanistan. Nation-building was a myth and probably a result of GREED, which may drive MOST human behavior.

Our woke military is becoming a joke. Can't tell the difference between bombs and water jugs.

Well, I say to bring back the non-volunteer military by some "luck of the draw" methods. I worry that the all-volunteer force could turn on US citizens. And fix the leaders in Wa. by having term limits - return to citizen government. Also 6-year terms for the Supreme Court. And change the name to something less dictator-sounding.

At least he wasn't pulling the trigger on a wag the dog drone strike that killed a family of 10.

Who gave the order?

How do you know who gave the order? Pls share source.

We should insist on knowing the truth

Someone has the footage from drone itself, and they people on the ground have an idea. There are still reporters in Afghanistan, just not US military….not sure if all NATO military and/or embassies have left on not. That would be interesting to know, as it’s reported they have over 1000 people behind enemy lines.

I think there was one other President not in attendance. I hope this meets the moderators superior approval.

Setting the scene - in the situation room, staring at a green tinted drone liveview, " tell the driver to blow up those kids over there, that'll teach 'em"

Sadly, I can imagine one of our commander-in-chiefs doing that, but it's not the current one.

Interesting spin. Only problem is that the current one did indeed do just that.

Killing a few will take our mind off the terrible job of leaving Afghanistan and turning everything over to the current Taliban leaders/murders.

It was mentioned in the video report from the Times I saw on this. They did seem to do a thorough job, including having the blast site analyzed by 'experts' in such things indicating that there was no large secondary explosion. Saw something this morning that the military is investigating.
