If you think it’s just “panic” I dare you to check yourself in . It’s easy to commentate from your bunker one way or another. Why don’t you quit chastising people for panicking in any form. There is need to be hyper vigilant. I’m extremely worried about getting Covid in the hospital.
On a lighter note, you are "pants-less" because they put you in a bottomless gown with your @$$ showing.

But seriously, take care and get well fast so you can get out of there.

Another example/reason that folks need to rein back the hysteria and panic. Folks are stressed enough as it is.
Friend, what I do when I am stressed is to examine the situation. If I have exhausted all ideas and crossed them off as invalid, then I put the problem in the back of my mind and wait until the subconscious comes up with a possible solution. Stress is a killer and not healthy or helpful. You are not being negligent or callous by putting it out of your mind. Simply treat the situation as if everything is normal and that you are confident that a solution will present itself. Be positive. KNOW that you are not going to become infected just by being there. Be confident that the medical personnel know what they are doing and they are doing it right.
Do NOT listen to gloom and doomers. Let them waller in their own misery. Your being positive will be healthy and help defend you against this viral scourge.

I know every one of our fellow posters are wishing/praying for your safe recovery.

Indeed, it is not. But responsible reporting by both the testers and the media would perhaps help. The media is losing the little credibility left by it's sensationalized and misleading headlines. I've also been noticing old articles are being pushed out again, as if they were new - until you check the date and see they are old.

With regard to the testers, I'm having a bit of concern, having recently learned of someone who made an appointment for testing (not here - over in the Miami area) who made an appointment for testing, but then was a no-show; four days later, she received notification of her positive test.

And of course we have the (mostly) younger groups that are having COVID parties and intentionally trying to win the pot of gold ($ thrown into a pot by all attendees) by being the first to have a positive test out of all the attendees.
