Does anyone out there really, truly think the Mayor of Seattle is a top-notch leader and has handled the CHAZ / CHOP issue effectively.?

If they would get jobs they wouldn’t be there. Living off of the rest of us is their way of life even though they protest it!

Nope.. Most of us outside of Seattle proper are pretty much just shaking our heads and laughing. The Seattle mayor is in so far over her head that she has no clue what to do at this point. She's taking the ostrich approach.

Agreed she has no idea what to do or perhaps she is in favor of these people.

Think she should resign and let someone who will take back their city assume control.

By standing by and allowing this to go on, the "authorities" are complicit. The left coast has been "inviting" such behavior for a long time.

Police said in a statement that a 19-year-old male victim had died, and another of an unknown age had life-threatening injuries and was in unknown condition.

Seattle Police said they encountered 'a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims' as they responded to the shooting.

Doesn't surprise me at all. It was only a matter of time and the blood is on the woman mayor who thinks it's going to be a "summer of love" there in Seattle.

Sure hope they called ANTIFA and BLM for help because police officers should refuse.

More peace and love in CHAZ

For second straight night, shooting reported in cop-free Seattle protest zone

At least one person was shot on Sunday night inside Seattle’s autonomous protest zone, where demonstrators have settled during the civil unrest sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of police officers.
The Seattle Police Department said in a tweet at 11:26 p.m. that one person had suffered a gunshot wound while inside the area and that a second shooting may have taken place.
“Police investigating reported shooting inside CHOP zone,” the department wrote. “One person at HMC with gun shot wound.”

If I was a Seattle cop would not even think of going in after a shooting only go in to end this disaster.

For those who are interested, this is the “rest of the story” from Washington Post:
Jones said the response by the protesters, sentinels and medics was an improvement over police action, which could have further escalated the situation.
Last night was a complete success story [in dealing] with an active shooter,” Jones said. “Usually in an active-shooter situation when police are involved, they let the shooter run out of bullets and then they get in there. That did not happen here. As soon as there were shots fired, people got actively involved, and there was a medical team on site immediately. We didn’t need sirens and more guns to get the job done.”[/QUOTE]

Siting an article from Washington Post "rest of the story" has nothing to do with reality. It is an opinion of one person just like each of our posts.

When there is a murder of a person and a body is delivered to the hospital is considered "a complete success story", standards are being set extremely low. Medical team did a fine job. If an article with that standard is considered useful, God help us!
