How do we send someone a private reply? Seems like we have lost that ability. If you see how to do that, please reply to me so I will get it. Thx.

YES, we all know scientists never have an agenda. And, even if they did, they certainly would never lie

On the old version just right click the name in the upper left corner.
I cannot speak for the new version.

Unfortunately, you'll never get those (accurate) numbers; it doesn't comport with the accepted narrative!

Stating why the First Amendment was penned and proffering that the media doesn't spread lies doesn't belong in the same paragraph! The MSM (and others) continually spread lies to further their agenda and that of the state. To think otherwise is a fool's play. The CIA, NSA and others have been proven to have their hands dirty in this arena and can be corroborated with a minimum of research:

Definitely a slanderous allegation … unless, of course, you can supply definite proof, not hearsay

No one can trust the media. Most of them are incompetent fools who are photogenic morons! Sorry, but this opinion is based on over 35 years of public service where media reporting got it wrong or purposely mislead the public. I can only laugh when I hear the improper use of the English language by supposed "trained" reporters! Don't trust - verify! My two cents.

I didn't "rail" against anything. As a rational reader could confirm, I stated, "another viewpoint". So, a differing viewpoint is railing against:

rail against (someone or something) To protest, criticize, or vent angrily about someone or something

Wrong choice of words, I believe

In addition, the site is hosting a video interview with a "front line" trauma nurse who served in Iraq (or Afghanistan … I forget) and then, Elmhurst in NYC, turned "whistleblower", who, IMHO, has no reason to lie or exaggerate - unlike the hospitals receiving $13k for C-19 patients and $39k, if placed on a ventilator (reported by many sources). This video interview has been removed by the usual suspects who do not want their narrative toppled. That is why it's hosted on "banned videos" and I would highly recommend that you watch it. So, your point, again, was what exactly?

Only issue is the verification is biased by the beliefs of those seeking to verify. You can find sites that will justify whatever you want to hear. More people are getting sick, being hospitalized and dying but if you believe it's a hoax or just the flu then nothing will change your mind and you will search out those that agree with you. We must all do what we believe is right for us and in my case that includes social distancing, wearing a mask, avoiding large groups, you know, the stuff that we did in the beginning that worked. The downside of not doing that is that the stuff we want to do will close down or not reopen at all. All because there are those that think it's all a hoax and won't play nice.

On the upside, the concerns about climate change have evaporated seemingly overnight.

When a newspaper puts up a headline screaming "deadliest day ever" it's a lie. 120 people did not die on July 9.

Here is how the 120 deaths were allocated properly to the actual date of death.

You really don’t get it. 120 deaths were recorded that day. To know how many actually occurred that day you would have to go to a date in the future to find out how many people had died that day. The current system more readily allows trends to be viewed. You have a clear desire to minimize what is going on for some reason.

That's the headline the Orlando Sentinel went with today, and they opened the story with this.

Florida reported 120 new COVID-19 fatalities on Thursday — the single biggest daily increase — pushing the death toll past 4,000 and coming after weeks of exploding coronavirus cases across the state.

Florida reports 120 COVID-19 fatalities, its deadliest day of pandemic - Orlando Sentinel

Here is the graph they presented charting Florida deaths.

Attachment 85176

Wow...very scary, deaths are rising must be that surge of new cases.

The problem with the Sentinel's headline and chart is there were only 9 deaths from covid 19 on Thursday. The rest of the 120 deaths were from previous dates and to make a correct chart you have to backfill reported deaths to the date they actually happened. I am pretty sure they know this but 120 deaths in a single day just makes for great panic porn headlines.

Here is a correct chart with deaths listed on the actual day they happened.

Attachment 85177

So far total of 135 deaths in July for Florida. This number will rise as deaths by actual date are backfilled. It takes time for deaths to be coded at hospitals, sent to the county, then the State and CDC.

It's unfortunate that we can't trust media reports on just about anything.
Thanks for doing that informative analysis.
