Some people in some situations (like being in a hurry to board a plane flight) make mistakes - everyone knows that. She might have left it in a pocket of her coat and been unaware of it. She is only guilty of being a famous American at the wrong time and the wrong place. It is a "cheap shot" at EVERY American by a Dictator that poisons his own people and now sends them to fight and die in a war that makes Russia poorer and weaker. Historically, Dictators only have brought destruction to their own people. Torturing Brittany Griner is one small step backward for Russia.

Everyone has made stupid mistakes. It's human. But to be from another country and take an illegal substance into said country is just a little beyond stupid don't you think? According to Russian Law, she has been found guilty and sentenced to nine years for transporting illegal items. Did she think she had immunity just because she is an NBA player??? Several people here have stated that Ms. Griner was lying to the court. I can NOT be sure of that. If she said that she was NOT aware that the vape cartridge was in her luggage, that statement could be true OR false. Only Britany and God will EVER know for certain.
