Don't forget, like anything made in China, there's a significant risk of lead poisoning. Just saying..:icon_wink:

Most of it will burn up during re-entry. Since 71% of the earth is covered in water it's likely that it will end up in the ocean. US scientists at NASA are monitoring the situation very closely. If there appears to be a danger to humans, they have ways to minimize the damage.

China says falling rocket debris will mostly burn up on reentry, posing little threat to people on the ground

May 7, 2021 Doyle Rice USA TODAY

The Chinese rocket that's reportedly falling uncontrollably to Earth will mostly burn up on reentry, posing little threat to people and property on the ground, the Chinese government reassured the world on Friday.

Speaking in Beijing, foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said China was closely following the rocket's reentry into the atmosphere, Reuters reported.

"The probability of this process causing harm on the ground is extremely low," he said.

China is paying "great attention to the re-entry of the upper stage of the rocket into the atmosphere," he added.

The section of the rocket, which was launched on April 29 from China, is expected to crash back to Earth sometime Saturday. It could strike an inhabited area, experts warn.

Well, THAT'S comforting. BTW - factually and scientifically, The Chinese built this rocket to perform exactly as it will. Other countries almost always design their rockets to burn on rentry, or control to an ocean hit. This tech costs more and takes more time. Personally I do not trust some countries AT ALL - China is the top of the list.

LATEST UPDATE!!!

The Aerospace Corporation @AerospaceCorp
Our latest prediction for #LongMarch5B CZ-5B rocket body reentry is Rocket 09 May 2021 04:19 UTC ± 8 hours along the ground track shown here.

...not to scare anyone in TV - but note the track it took on one of the orbits. Eerily seemed to be RIGHT OVER US!!!

Just saw that the 'rocket scientists' following this cannot currently predict the final path and entry point as the friction with earths atmosphere is variable. I am guessing they will have a much better prediction in the next few days.

thank you for a solid & informed reply! :)

Don't worry. According to my calculations, there is a 99.99% chance that it will impact safely in the Polo field. But to be on the safe side, do not use Buena Vista until after it touches down. :pepper2:

Reports say that the rocket entered near Maldives and likely crashed into the Indian Ocean.

China's 21-TON rocket set for uncontrolled reentry in a few days

China’s 21-ton Long March 5b rocket is orbiting the planet in a path that could lead to the massive vehicle crashing back to Earth within the next few days, experts warn.

The core stage launched Thursday to deliver the first modular of the nation’s new space station, but instead of returning to a pre-determined post in the ocean, it is predicted to make an uncontrolled reentry - and possibly in an inhabited area.

When the rocket stage falls to Earth, most of it could burn up in the atmosphere, but large pieces could survive that could rain down on populated areas - as the range is nearly 80 percent of the globe.

Space debris trackers observed it moving slowly and unpredictably to Earth over the past few days, and reentry of the vehicle would be one of the largest uncontrolled descents on record.

Long March 5B is about 100 feet long and 16 feet wide and although more than 10 tons of space debris has been left in orbit for an uncontrolled reentry, McDowell said that ‘by current standards it's unacceptable to let it reenter uncontrolled.’

And at least 10 more to follow! This is just the beginning of many launches 🚀 while they build a China Space Station! China Space Force ....
