I don't think in terms of links. Sorry! I still have a reasonable memory. Dr. Hotez is on the NORMAL cable TV news programs about once every 3rd day. He is one of the world's best-known pediatric epidemiologists. He has consulted all over the globe. He has several books published. He is currently at Baylor U. That is enough information to get any link or information about him that would be needed. Hope that helps and please excuse my attitude. But, the link-o-mania on this forum has become a pet peeve of mine.

I think the difference is the vaccine is designed to prevent you from getting the virus. Regeneron is designed to fight the virus if you get it. The FDA has approved both methods of administering Regeneron as well as two (I think) other types of infusion therapy.

I'd like to ask if you'll refuse that treatment if you get sick because of DeSantis but we're not supposed to get political.

The "other side" is conspiracy. The side I'm on is science, fact, peer-reviewed double-blind tested on more than 20 blond-haired blue-eyed virgins plucked from their kitchens at the peak of health. The "other side" of "my" side is opinion, extrapolation, supposition, pretense, fiction.

The other side isn't something any sentient human being would want to listen to, except for possibly entertainment value.

Well, not always. I don't mind reading 'out there' columns. I certainly don't entirely trust the government and am sorry if you do. How's this from one of his articles?

Corona is somewhat bad. In terms of mortality, it is the equivalent of a middle-of-the-road pandemic flu. Adjusting for age and obesity, it seems to be in the neighbourhood of the Hong Kong Flu of 1968/69. In other words, Corona is more deadly, but only because we have an older and fatter population.

Corona is dangerous, almost exclusively, to the old, the obese, and the already ill. Almost all deaths and serious cases happen in these very identifiable sub-populations. In children, Corona is less dangerous than influenza. The risk stratification of Corona is so extreme, that most people fail to understand their own risk. Almost everybody under 60 or 70 drastically overestimates the risk Corona poses to them.

Written before Delta took hold and sounds fairly accurate to me. Waiting for more data on Delta to see if it holds up.

I am not easily insulted, but seems to me that “accepting as truth” with no links to support, in a venue that most posts are either made up or copy and pasted from “way out” websites, simply points that you are not here to discuss, but to pontificate. Of course I am speaking of those kind of subjects that are national and not Villages unique.
