That’s simply not true! Very few end up in the hospital so just stop with the fear lingering!😡

Thanks for admitting you’re part of the problem and not the solution. If you’re so certain there’s no need to worry about Covid, it’s interesting that you are willing to get a vaccine. Selfish and lazy

Well, whatever. I guess it something everyone needed to know. I’m 67 also and decided to get the shot to up my odds of not getting the virus.

To each their own....

I hate to break the news to you but getting the vaccine will NOT prevent you from getting the virus.

It WILL minimize the severity of the virus and speed up your recovery from it .....

I am sad for those who continue to want to perpetuate so much fear in people ...... what a way for people in the final years of their lives to waste away.

I think the people who love me - have more than appreciated that I travelled to see them - to spend time with them and to make memories with the grand kids - over this past year when so many have told us to stay inside - stay away from your loved ones .... you see we are all destined to die - for many of us - sooner than later..... Covid or no Covid.

Nope, haven’t received the vaccine yet - but, I take care of my self and I do not live in fear (and before anyone shames me - yes, always wear a mask and distance where I have to!)

In my opinion - I place my priorities - where I think they are important and what is most important to my loved ones .... being with them...... being able to see their smile and their eyes..... laughing with them.... crying with them ....holding their hands. Fear of something like Covid —- *** or, better yet ... let me put it this way ——— fear in death itself** —— will never prevent me from spending time with loved ones.

I know someone who traveled to see family and grandkids over the holidays. That person is dead now, from Covid. That person was very active and the picture of health.

Good luck to you and your Covid risky behavior.

That is NOT TRUE. Why don't you research this stuff before you misinform people?

I'm 67 and my survival rate is above 99%. I've a better chance of falling off a ladder and becoming a vegetable. So I'll stay off of ladders, wear a mask where required, wash my hands frequently, use sanitizer(75% alcohol), avoid crowds out of doors, sneeze and cough into my arm and use ridiculously common sense to be safe.

Best of luck to all.

I for one do NOT have a problem with that decision. Especially since you are following guidelines that will keep yourself and others as safe as possible.

I could NOT interpret it either!

Check to see if the doctor’s office is going to be participating in the program. Since they’re not going to be paid for it, they might not be part of the program.

I hate to break the news to you, but you are just repeating the same stupid idea that has been posted by many others who are ignorant of reality. Rather than type the same thing over and over, I'll just copy it from another thread:

Why does this idiotic rumor keep spreading????? Again, I challenge ANYONE to cite a reputable source for this nonsense.

Think of it this way-----why would all the "experts" be pushing the vaccines as the method of obtaining herd immunity and ending this pandemic if the vaccines did not confer immunity. Why spend billions on vaccines that only prevent "death" in the 0.3% of the people who would actually die from it. In fact, in a cold-hearted but social Darwinian model, why keep people who can spread the virus alive?

Yet , on just about every COVID thread, some yahoo pops up with the "the vaccine only decreases severity of illness and reduces the chance of death" Use your brains, please.

Doc, I am 81 and have a busy active life, a husband who is so good to me, I am watching two grandchildren become extremely successful by all standards, following their parents....I have such an interesting life and folks seem to enjoy me....just let me slide on out.....I am old and sick.

NOPE. NOT me...and not you either Bud.

Viral load peaks in the days before symptoms begin and speaking is enough to expel virus-carrying droplets. We can’t tell who’s infected you can’t look in a crowd and say, oh, that person should wear mask. There’s a lot of asymptomatic infection, so everybody has to wear a mask. If you read medical and science journals there is much evidence that wearing a mask reduces risk. We can't put links on this website but if you go to pubmed and search Face Masks Against COVID-19: An Evidence Review you can see what University and medical experts have found in their studies on the subject.

500,000 have not died of covid or the number of total deaths from 2019 and 2020 would not only be 50,000 different. Wake up!
